In April 2010, Surge Medical joined the Alliant Healthcare Products family, a multi-award winning healthcare products manufacturer based in Richland, Michigan.  Surge Medical Solutions' product portfolio joined Alliant Healthcare's high-quality cardiovascular products which are used by healthcare providers worldwide.

Alliant Healthcare Products is an ISO 13485 certified and a verified Veteran-owned small business (VOSB) that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets products for the global healthcare market.  Alliant Healthcare also provides custom assembly, packaging, and manufacturing for acute care hospitals, government, and original equipment (OEM) for private label customers.

Alliant Healthcare formally began manufacturing operations in September 2002, acquiring Surge Medical Solutions™ in April 2010.  Alliant Healthcare positions its engineering, manufacturing, and marketing expertise to be a significant provider of high quality, low-cost healthcare products.  The company uses lean manufacturing techniques to drive cost out of manufacturing products.

The company manufactures and sells three distinct product lines: Cardiovascular, Urology, and Wound Drainage.  Alliant promotes and sells its cardiovascular products under the Surge Medical Solutions™ name.  These products include Antegrade & Retrograde Cardioplegia Cannula, Perfusion Accessories, Temperature Monitoring Devices, and Suture Guides.  Its Urology and Wound Drainage lines are sold under the Alliant TruChoice™ name, including Foley Catheters and Kits, Urinemeters, and BaroVac® Wound Drainage Systems.

Alliant is also the exclusive provider of Stryker® CMF, Communications, Endoscopy, Instruments, and Medical products to all U.S. government facilities.

Because of its certified Veteran-owned small business status, Alliant Healthcare is uniquely positioned to help prime contractors meet U.S. Government contracting requirements.  Any company contracted for more than $500,000 with the U.S. Government must submit a subcontract plan prior to being awarded the contract.  These subcontracts are required to include small businesses such as VOSBs.  These goals are expected to significantly emphasize the special relationship between the U.S. Government and Veterans.  At no other time in our nation's history have incentives been so strong for doing business with companies under veteran ownership.
